Maria Willis, 55 of Morganton, NC passed away, Friday, October 14, 2022. Born on November 22, 1966, she was the daughter of the late Jimmy Nelson Willis and Norma Jean Willis. Maria was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. She loved her family, her grandchildren, and being called “Mimi”. Maria was an avid Elvis fan. She was beautiful person and would do anything she could for people. Maria loved her church. She was a life long member at West Court Baptist Church in Marion where she also grew up. She loved her animals and was a hard worker.
Maria is survived by her children, Megan Suttles (Colton), Barry McPeters (Heather); grandchildren, Emmalyn, Aribella, Abigail, AvaJo; sister, Paula McKinney (Lee); special aunt, Terri (Vincent); and a number of cousins.
In addition to her parents, Maria is preceded in death by her brother, Jamie Willis.
Services for Ms. Willis will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
