Margie V. Dyer

Margie V. Dyer, 70 of Morganton, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 15, 2022. Born on February 20, 1952, she was the daughter of the late William Brown Jr. and Odell Irene Ledbetter Brown. Margie retired from JIRDC at 20 plus years of service. She loved to cook and garden. Margie also loved her family and dogs very much.

Margie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Daniel Dyer; children, Mike Shellenberger (Jolynn), Gayle Dyer, David Dyer (Pepper); grandchildren, Sarah Meiners, Jessica Offill, Cameron Hartung, Ryne Hartung, Austin Dyer; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim Brown; sister, Judy Brown.

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Dyer; brother, Ralph Ledbetter; sisters, Sue Cervantis and Tilda Tucker.

There will be a graveside service at noon, Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Nowlings Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. The family will greet friends following the graveside.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
