Margie Pearson Clark

Margie Pearson Clark, 80, of Salem Road, Morganton, NC went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, October 12, 2014.  Born in Burke County, NC on November 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Pearson and Gazalee Buff Mull.  Margie was a loving wife and a wonderful mother of four daughters.  Margie was a member of Missionary Ridge Baptist Church.  She worked for many years at Drexel Heritage Plants #3 and #5 until her retirement, and she had a deep love for flowers, quilting, reading, and was a divine cook.

Margie is survived by her daughters, Patsy Rogers and her husband, James, Ginger Snipes and her husband, Randy, Gail Wilson and her husband, Doug, and Tammy Duckworth and her husband, Tony, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Jeff Rogers, Jennifer Smith, Eric Snipes, Cliff Snipes, Nathan Wilson, Tiffany Wilson, and Kala Duckworth; great-grandchildren, Megan Rogers, Cassidy Smith, Kenlynn Wilson, Alorah Wilson, Wesley Smith, II, Jacob Rogers, Jillian Miller, Collin Miller, Skyler Durham, Raelyn Wilson, Chasity Hensley, Chase Snipes, and Hayden Snipes; a great-great-grandchild, Corbin Caldwell; a brother, Will Pearson and his wife, Judy, of Morganton; half-sisters, Sherry Mull and Sally Coleman, both of Morganton; and her beloved canine companion, Annie.

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clarence Clark; and a brother, “Bud” Pearson.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Missionary Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Lovelace and the Rev. Al Tinnin officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends in the church’s Life Enrichment Center from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.  At other times the family will be at the residence on Salem Road.
