Margie Ann Pearson

Margie Ann Pearson, 77, of Morganton, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

Born in Burke County, NC on July 25, 1948, she was the daughter of the late James Wesley Webb and Mary Sue Benfield Webb.

Margie was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed working with flowers, but she most enjoyed spending time with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Wesley Scott; daughter, Nancy Scott Soloman; grandchildren, Christopher Gene Mace and Jessica Lea Thomas (Philip); great-grandchildren, Ryker Hayes Sigmon, Lelann Buchanan, Audrina Buchanan, Noah Thomas, and Elijah Thomas; sisters, Helen Ledford and Brenda Long; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Early Pearson; brothers, James Edward “Pete,” Bobby Joe, Kenneth Eugene, and Jimmy Wayne Webb.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Zion Baptist Church. A celebration of Margie’s life will follow at noon in the church with Rev. Keith Rose officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Baptist Church, 3394 Pea Ridge Road, Morganton, NC 28655.
