Margaret "Wilma" Wilson Wright

Margaret "Wilma" Wilson Wright, 92, formerly of Pea Ridge St., Glen Alpine, NC entered into the arms of God on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Grace Hospital. Born in Burke County, NC on June 15, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Edward Lee Wilson and Fannie Estelle Williams Wilson. Wilma was a member of Glen Alpine First Baptist Church. A devoted, loving, kind, and humble mother and grandmother, she enjoyed designing and making quilts, as well as gardening.Wilma is survived by sons, Eddie Clifton Wright and Jimmy Ray Wright, both of Morganton; a daughter, Maxine Wilma Stacy of Morganton; brothers, Carl, Johnny, Earl, and Howard Wilson; a sister, Mary Ellen Leonhardt; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Romie Vess Wright; brothers, Clarence, Vernon, and Kenneth Wilson; and two grandchildren.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 4, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Baptist Church in Casar, NC. The family will receive friends and the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
