Margaret Whisenant Sigmon, 89, of Morganton, NC passed away Friday, November 4, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on August 5, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Whisenant and Nellie Perkins Whisenant. Margaret was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sigmon is survived by a grandson, Jean Paul Small of Morganton; nephews, Edward Whisenant, Roger Whisenant and Butch Whisenant; cousin, Louise Whisenant and caregiver, Cindy Johnson.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
