Margaret Huggins Brock, 85, of Morganton died Monday, March 28, 2016. Born in Red Springs, NC on October 4, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Luther Monroe Huggins and Hattie Mae Cope Huggins. Mrs. Brock was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Broughton Hospital and was also a homemaker.
Margaret is survived by her son, Jimmy W. Brock, Jr. and his wife, Vanda, of Morganton; a daughter, Kathryn Ann Brock of Morganton; a grandson, Chris Brock; and great-grandchildren, Savana and Channing Brock.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brock was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wilbert Brock, Sr.; and three brothers, Jack, Luther Monroe, Jr., and James Huggins.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 6 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2016 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The funeral will follow at 6 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Shawn Thomas officiating. The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 2 at Alloway Cemetery in Red Springs.
