Margaret Elizabeth Lawson Fowler

Margaret Elizabeth Lawson Fowler, 70, of Morganton died Saturday, February 8, 2014. Born in McDowell County, NC on January 18, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John and Alma Lawson. Margaret loved the outdoors and fishing.Mrs. Fowler is survived by her sons, Scott Fowler, Terry Fowler, Davis Mayfield, and Stacy Mayfield, all of Morganton; grandchildren, Ashley Fowler Keller and her husband, Dusty, Jennifer Nicole Fowler, and James Charles Bumgarner; great-grandchildren, Hunter Keller, Tabitha Fowler, and Devon Fowler; and two brothers, Carroll Lawson of Old Fort, NC and Dallas Lawson of Asheville, NC.In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a daughter, Lolita Pritchett; a sister, Wanda Greer; and three brothers, Avery, Bill, and Dewey Lawson.The memorial service will be held at 4 pm, Monday, February 10, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Ed Stephenson officiating.
