Margaret Davis Franklin

Margaret Davis Franklin, 84 of Morganton, NC passed away Monday, June 26, 2017. She was born May 10, 1933 in Burke County, NC and was the daughter of the late Vance Davis and Ethel Buff Davis. Margaret really enjoyed young children and teaching. Her biggest love was her husband, family and especially her grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, Benny Lee Franklin; daughter, Robin Barth and husband, Tim of Rutherfordton; grandchildren, Kyle Barth of Raleigh, Lindsay Barth of Chapel Hill; and three brothers.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Thomas A. Bland, Jr. and Rev. Larry Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. A private burial was held at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church. P.O.
