Mamie Williams Coleman Leger, 83, died Sunday, September 24, 2006, at Burke Long Term Care following a brief illness. She was born in Burke County, NC on February 20, 1923 and was a daughter of the late John Franklin Williams and Lula Jane Moore Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are her husband, Ervin A. Leger, of Morganton; children and their spouses, Mari and Charles Hann of Sanford, NC, Betty and Jim Davis of Broadway, NC, Eleanor and Ralph Powell of Ventura, CA, and Judith and Chuck Giglio of Winnetka, CA; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
No services are planned at this time. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family.
