Lynn Willson Woody, 63, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, January 9, 2016. Born in Bethesda, MD on August 16, 1952, she was the daughter of Aubery Willson and the late Geneva Orders Willson. Lynn was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
In addition to her father, Lynn is survived by her daughters, Brandi Woody of Morganton, Sierra Wellman of Connelly Springs, NC, Angela Ferguson of Morganton, and Raven Short of Morganton; a son, Tommy Holland and his wife, Natasha, of Morganton; a brother, Stephen Willson of Morganton; sisters-in-law, Stacey and Sandra Woody; and aunts, Judy Rosencrans of North Dakota and Mary Jane Lawrence of Tennessee.
In addition to her mother, Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Woody.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Salem United Methodist Church. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. in the church with the Rev. Abby Kocher and the Rev. Kenneth Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At other times the family will be at Mrs. Woody’s home. Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
