Louis Scalise, 85, of Morganton, NC died Monday, May 25, 2015.  Born in Allegheny County, PA on March 12, 1930, he was the son of the late Dominick Scalise and Felicia Fabiano Scalise.  Mr. Scalise was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, and served as a Petty Officer 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  Louis was the founder and owner of Capri Industries.

A devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Louis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Scalise of the home; children, Douglas Scalise and his wife, Janice, of Morganton, Lance Scalise and his wife, Christine, of Aliquippa, PA, Dane Scalise and his wife, Lori, of Dayton, OH, Louis Scalise, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Brooklyn, NY, David Scalise and his wife, Kimberly, of Morganton, and Dominick Scalise and his wife, Julie, of Baden, PA; eleven grandsons and one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren to be.

In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary DeMao and Adeline Pawuk.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.  The funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m., Thursday at the church with Father Kenneth Whittington officiating.  Entombment will follow in Burke Memorial Park Mausoleum with military honors provided by the U.S. Navy.
