Lorraine (Lori) Verheeck, 87, of Morganton, NC went to her Heavenly Home to be with her Lord and her husband on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. She was born in Cook County, IL, on July 29, 1929 to the late Loren J. Hein and Dorothy Addams Hein. Lori worked as a medical secretary in Illinois and in Fort Myers, FL where she retired. After her husband’s death, she moved in with her son, Larry and lived in several towns until settling in Morganton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Charles Verheeck.
She is survived by her son, Larry Verheeck of Morganton; daughters, Patricia Holland of Vermont, Pamela Weiss of Missouri, Janet Neff of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Scott, Larry, Shari, Michael, Heather, Katie, Andy, Jennifer, and Corey; 11 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Shirl Hein and Lynn Ragona.
A memorial service will be held 4:00pm Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Praise Assembly of God 873 U.S.70 West Morganton NC with the Rev. Kevin Crawford officiating.
