Lois Taylor McMahan

Lois Taylor McMahan, 94, of Marion, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023.

Born in Caldwell County, NC on April 27, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George Washington Taylor and Nora Mae Blankenship Taylor. Lois was a member of Clinchfield Presbyterian Church and enjoyed visits from her church friends. She was a strong lady who loved her family. Lois worked at Plant 6 at Drexel Furniture.

Mrs. McMahan is survived by her daughter, Barbara Small (Larry); and four nieces and a nephew.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Herman McMahan; son, Russell Herman McMahan; sisters, Ruth and Mabel; and brothers, Stewart, Charlie, and James.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2023 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. David Orders officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
