Lois "Parksie" Watts Wallace

Lois "Parksie" Watts Wallace, 88, of Brandon Rd., Morganton, NC died Friday, January 9, 2009 at Grace Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Burke County, NC on May 1, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Jane Causby Watts. Mrs. Wallace was a member of the Morganton Seventh Day Adventist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison P. Wallace; sisters, Velvie and Lessie Watts, and Mamie Helms; and brothers, Ellis Watts, Warren Watts, and Earl Ervin Watts.Surviving are her daughters and their husbands, Judy and Jerry Bryant of Morganton and Gayla and Bradley Carswell of South Bend, IN; a sister, Helen L. Chapman of Valdese; and grandchildren, John W. Johnson, Jane L. Carswell and Neal Carswell.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour before the service. At other times the family will be at the home of Judy and Jerry Bryant, 3153 Roland Rd., Morganton.
