Lois Marie Buff Benfield, 81, was welcomed into the arms of our Father, Thursday, February 7, 2019. She was born March 7, 1937. Lois will be met at the gates of heaven by her father, Ambers Buff and mother, Annie Stamey Buff; two brothers, Ray Buff and Bud Buff; two sisters, Eula May Costner and Eloise Messer; and her cherished children, daughter, Mary Ann Spurling and son, Charles Allen Benfield.
Loved ones left to carry on her memories are her husband of 61 years, Ralph Jr. Benfield; two daughters, Peggy McLean (Tony) and Tiny Riddle (Kelly); loving daughter-in-law, Mary (Libby) Benfield; three sons, Curtis Benfield (Sandy), Tony Benfield and Jerry Benfield; loving son-in-law, Tony McLean. She was called “MawMaw” by 13 grandchilden and 20 great-grandchildren. Lois was lovingly called sister by Jeanette Nichols, Kathleen Buff and Minnie Benfield.
The family will receive friends from 12-1:00pm, Monday, February 11, 2019 at Mountain View #2 Baptist Church. The service will be at 1:00pm in the church with Pastor Wesley Fredell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
“Momma, you have given so much and asked for so little in return. Thank you for always being there for us, for teaching us, listening to us, loving us, praying for us, and always, always never giving up on us. Sundays will never be the same Momma. We love you and you will always be in our hearts.”
