Linda “Pug” Blankenship, 73, of Morganton, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
Born in Burke County, NC on March 10, 1952, she was the daughter of the late James Dula and Hazel Maxine Frankline Dula.
Linda owned and operated My House Daycare for a number of years. She loved the Lord and her family, and she also loved her animals and the children she looked after. Linda enjoyed baking and was an exception cake maker. She was an awesome mother who enjoyed taking trips to the beach.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Larry Jason Blankenship; daughters, Lindsay Goines, Lisa Smith, and Laura Grider; grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Jami Smith, Corey Blankenship, Brittany Blankenship, Kyle Goines, Shawn Grider, and Kristin Grider; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Tim and Tom Dula.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Gene Blankenship; and a great-grandson, Trenton Rogers.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
