Linda Orders

Linda Orders, 78, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026.

Linda was a devoted homemaker who found joy in creating a beautiful and welcoming home. She had a natural eye for decorating and creating beautiful spaces indoors and out. Stylish, authentic, and spirited, Linda was unapologetically herself. She had a vibrant personality, a strong sense of style, and a way of making life feel a little more colorful.

Above all else, Linda cherished her family, and her world truly revolved around her grandchildren, Aidan and Liam Whitford. She treasured every moment with them and took immense pride in watching them grow. Her love for them was at the center of her life and will remain one of the greatest parts of her legacy.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Whitford, and her beloved grandsons, Aidan and Liam Whitford. She also leaves behind cherished friends and cousins who will remember her for her genuine spirit, her warmth, her style, and the unique presence she brought into their lives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wade and Rose White; her sister, Brenda; and her daughter, Kelly Orders.

Linda will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her family will carry her memory forward through the love she gave, the beautiful items she treasured, and most of all, through the grandchildren who were the center of her world.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2026 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Browning officiating. The graveside service will follow at Burke Memorial Park.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
