Linda McQuaid Mack, 70, of Morganton died Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Linda was born April 18, 1944 in Providence, RI to the late John Joseph McQuaid and Cecelia Martin McQuaid. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Mack.
She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Linda and her late husband were ham radio operators. She was an avid reader and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Linda is survived by a daughter, Tracy M. Morris and husband, Charlie of Morganton; granddaughters, Serena Morris and Kelly Mack; sister, Gail Espinola of Salem, NH; brother, Michael McQuaid and wife, Betty of Virginia Beach, VA; step-son, Bill Mack and wife, Paulette of Conneautville, PA; and aunt, Irene Cook of FL.
A private committal service will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
