Linda Jean Silver, 67 of Morganton, NC went Home to be with The Lord, Sunday, August 9, 2026. Born and raised in Buncombe County, NC on July 20, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Billie Evans.
Linda was a hard worker, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who loved her family very much. She was a very energetic, outgoing, and strong-willed, and determined to succeed. Linda enjoyed having yard sales and playing Bingo. She enjoyed auctions and worked many long years as a CNA and cared for many people. Linda was a very giving person who never met a stranger and was always willing to help. She was very brave and fought a courageous battle with cancer. Linda loved her Lord and was a believer. She was recently saved and baptized on January 11, 2026.
Linda is survived by her children, Andrea Jackson (John) and Maranda Silver Hudson (Adam); grandchildren, Darren Jackson, Jonothon Jackson, Garrett Curtis, Braxton Hudson; siblings, Shelia Ann Evans Todd, Mary Pegg Evans, Charles Robert Evans.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her first husband, Odell Griffin and second husband, John Silver.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm, Friday, August 14, 2026 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home at 3pm with the Pastor Gray Williams officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
