Linda Gail Beck, 77, of Glen Alpine, NC passed away at home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born in Burke County on May 4, 1945 to the late Robert Dale and Bessie Ross Dale. Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church in Glen Alpine. She retired from Shadowline. She loved to cook and to work with flowers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially loved spending time with her grand babies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Bob Dale; sisters, Getty Long, Lou Mode, Sara Merrill and Margaret Keaton; son-in-law, Tommy Benfield.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jerry Beck; daughter, Tammy Benfield; grandchildren, Ryan Benfield (Brandy) and Cody Benfield; great-grandchildren, Dylan Benfield and Brantley Benfield; sister, Nancy Thomas; many nieces, nephews and good friends.

A graveside service will begin at 1pm on Monday, April 24, 2023 at St. Mary’s and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church Cemetery with Rev. John Terry officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the Parish Hall at the church.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
