Leonard Eugene Pearson, 64, of Morganton, NC, peacefully passed away Friday, June 6, 2025, while surrounded by his family.
Born in Burke County, NC on December 25, 1960, he was the son of the late Robert Eugene Pearson and Nancy Jane Smith Pearson.
Leonard loved music, especially rock’n’roll, and he played guitar in various bands in the 1980s. His love for music began as a child while playing guitar and singing at church. He was a huge fan of Eddie Van Halen and the Minnesota Vikings, and his favorite color was purple.
Leonard is survived by his fiancée, Allison Dankers; brother, Robert Pearson; sister, Mary Whisnant; and too many extended family to list.
In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Pearson.
No services are planned at this time.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Sorry to hear of "Spiders" passing. When i saw the obituary I felt a cold flush and shock come over my body. God the times we spent together. Some of the best times. I've not seen him in a few years but still remember him as though I just saw him yesterday. Man, you'll really be missed. Lots of sorrow goes out to the family. Rest in Peace my friend.
