Leatrice Gott Charlet

Leatrice Gott Charlet, 84, of Britthaven and formerly of Jenkins Rd., Morganton, NC went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Britthaven following a period of declining health. Born in Madison County, KY on June 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joe Gott and Grace Reagan Gott. Leatrice was a retired employee of the Kentucky Fried Chicken stores in Morganton and a member of Missionary Ridge Baptist Church.Leatrice is survived by sons, John W. Charlet, III, Don Charlet and wife, Gail all of Morganton, NC, Ronnie Charlet and wife, Doris, of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Johnny Charlet and wife Christi, Christy Lingerfelt, Robyn Waycaster and husband Jeff, Dereck Charlet, Marlena Charlet, Casey Charlet and wife, Lindsey, Jeana Taylor and Deana Edelmann; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Billy Gott and wife, Carol of Lexington, KY; sisters-in-law, Becky Gott and Bessie Gott of Lexington, KY; and a number of nephews and nieces.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Walker Charlet, Jr.; son, Tommy Charlet; and brothers, Robert and J.B. Gott.The funeral will be held at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at Missionary Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Lovelace officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church Life Enrichment Center.
