I met Sonny when he and Eulala got married as I played the organ for their wedding. Eulala and I grew up less than a mile apart and we used to play together as children. She and her sister later rode to work with me as we lived 20 miles from Morganton. I used to visit her and Sonny at the various places they lived during his working days. He was always a sweet, and interesting, man to talk to. My deepest sympathy to Eulala, Renee, his sister, and other relatives.

I was so sorry to hear about Sonny’s pasting. Please accept my condolences. I had worked with Sonny at Skyland Textiles in Morgantown in the IE department and again at “Clemson Apparel Research”. He taught me a great deal about the business of which I am very thankful. Of all the folks that knew Sonny, I know he will be missed. John Mahony Fountain Inn, SC

To know Sonny was to love him. I had the privilege of meeting and working with Sonny at CAR and APaDS. I'll always remember all the laughs and hearing the stories he would tell and the picking between him and Elroy. I am blessed to have known him.
