Laura Calhoun Ebberts, 97, of Lenoir, NC, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025.
Born on May 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Otis Calhoun and Ethel Annis Simmons Calhoun.
Laura was born and raised Philippi, WV. She was a graduate of Philippi High School and was a cheerleader and worked on the school newspaper. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who raised four children and loved family reunions.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Laura Clodfelter; and numerous extended family.
In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her three husbands, Cecil Tenney, Willard Ebberts, and John Stubbs; sons, Willard “Billy” Ebberts, Jr., Danny Tenney, and Russell Laurence “Larry” Ebberts; and son-in-law, Robert “Bob” A. Clodfelter.
The graveside service will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025 in Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, MD.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center in Morganton, NC and Kirkley and Ruddick Funeral Home in Glen Burnie, MD are assisting the family with the arrangements.
