Laura Harbison Consley

Laura Harbison Consley, 91 of Grace Ridge, Morganton, NC died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Grace Ridge. Born May 26, 1922 in Burke County, NC, she was a daughter of the late James Avery Harbison and Louise Walton Harbison. Laura was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. She was employed by the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services as a registered nurse. She traveled the state providing care to premature babies.Laura is survived by a number of nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Consley was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Bob Harbison; and two sisters, Louise Poteet and Nancy Reynolds.The memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2013 at Grace Episcopal Church with the Rev. Gary Parker officiating. Interment will follow in Grace Episcopal Church Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the church’s parish hall following the services.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, 303 S.
