Laura was such a great mentor, co-worker and most of all a loving friend. She always had such a beautiful smile and such a joyous personality! Laura loved her co workers and especially all of her kiddos that she taught all those years. She inspired so many lives and always brought the good out in everyone. I had the privilege to work with her for 23 years, she taught all of my children at some point. We always enjoyed talking about our daughters Hannah and Caitlyn who grew up together. She was a rock at our school and will forever be a part of us. Her spirit will live on in all of the lives she has touched. I love you my sweet friend Laura, I am so proud of you for the fight that you fought. May you rest in peace until I see you again someday.

To Mrs. Eagan's family: I am so very sorry for your loss. I am saddened to hear this. She was such a great teacher. I didn't know her extremely well, but she started in Burke County Schools the same year I did. Then, later on, I subbed a bunch at Mull. She was helpful to me and she didn't really know me. I remember about 4 years ago, the kids told me she was sick after attending a concert or something. She lived a lot in her 50 years. I cannot imagine how her absence will be in your lives. Please know that people you don't know, but were touched by her, will be thinking of you in the coming days. God Bless You.

Mrs. Eagan was a great teacher to my son Chris and daughter Ciara. She taught them so much and this transferred over into their higher education and careers. She would always stop to say a word of encouragement to them every time she saw them somewhere. We are praying for Chris and Caitlyn and the family through this difficult time, she will be greatly missed. I won't say goodbye, just so long my friend until we meet again.
