Larry Preston Bollinger, 69, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, October 5, 2019. He was born on January 5, 1950 in Burke County to the late Preston O. Bollinger and Viola Essie Wilson Bollinger. He was the owner of L & J Cycle Shop and loved racing and working on dirt bikes. He was a God fearing man and loved his children and grandchildren dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Bollinger Anderson and brother, John Bollinger.

He is survived by his wife, Janie Gilbert Bollinger; daughter, Leslie Bumgarner of Morganton; step-son, Jody Main (Adriana) of Rutherford College, NC; brothers, Jim Bollinger and Arthur Bollinger, both of Morganton; sisters, Pat Benton and Glenda Michaels, both of Morganton; grandchildren, Aerial Anderson, Chase Anderson, Preston Bumgarner, Olivia Bumgarner and Brittany Estep; one great-grandchild, Ariana Estep.

Service will be at a later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I think about you everyday.. mostly I thank God for you being my father. Everyday wether it's humor to get me through something or your Godly wisdom to help me again and again or to try and pass on . You have given me enough to last my lifetime. I'm so grateful to share Jesus Christ and one day I will be with you again forever. This is not farewell . Thankyou for giving to the Lord for I am a life that was saved!Thankyou for teaching my children about Christ! Christ through you is amazing..Love you. See you later!
