Lance Plowman Smith

Lance Plowman Smith, 58, of William Owens Way, Greer, SC, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at his residence. Born in New York City, NY on June 29, 1950, he was a son of the late Wallace H. Smith and Florence P. Smith.Lance is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Smith of N. Green Street, Morganton, NC; a sister, Monica Bergstrom and husband, Jim, of Hurst, TX; an aunt, Emma Barkley of Waco, TX; sisters-in-law, Becky Lytle and Jan Alms; a brother-in-law, Robert L. McKinney, Jr.; nephews, Jamie McKinney, Jay Lytle, and Eliot Lytle; and a niece, Maria McKinney.The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2009 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of personal choice.
