Kevin Jeffrey Scott, 48, of Glen Alpine, NC died Tuesday, November 10, 2015. He was born in Burke County on January 7, 1967 to Ruby Parkins Scott with whom he made his home and the late Lee Roy Scott.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Scott.
In addition to his mother he is survived by daughter, Katie Vause and husband, Steve of Georgetown, SC; son, Jason Perkins of Morganton; grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Vause, Blaze, Phillip and Satie Perkins; sisters, Becky Cox and husband, Tim of Winston-Salem, NC and Bonnie Perkins and husband, Doug of Morganton; nephew and niece, Will Perkins and Abby Scott; and great niece, Emery Perkins.
The family will receive from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2015 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home Colonial Chapel with Rev. Barbara Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Alpine Cemetery.
