It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth Warren Pitts, 69, of Huntersville, North Carolina, announces his passing on Monday, May 14th, 2018. After a 15-month long battle with cancer, Ken went peacefully home to his Lord surrounded by family and his minister.

Ken was a devoted husband, father and grandfather serving his community through his church and through the many personal connections he made throughout his years. He graduated Valedictorian from Glen Alpine High School in 1966 and then from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, remaining a steadfast Tarheel fan his entire life. He was a family provider and successful entrepreneur, having run his own business, Precision Business Forms, for 27 years. Ken also served our country in the United States Army Reserves from 1970 to 1975. Ken so loved his family, his Tarheels, the beach and especially Motown and Country music.

Ken will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Beth; his children Jenny of the home and Matthew (wife Amy) of Kernersville; brother, Mark (wife Cindi) of Glen Alpine; mother Virginia of Glen Alpine; grandchildren Michael and Nathan; along with many other friends and family. He will also be missed by the family pets that so loved his quiet affection.

Funeral services for our beloved Ken will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 19th at his hometown church, Glen Alpine United Methodist Church in Glen Alpine, North Carolina. A graveside service will immediately follow where Ken will be laid to rest next to his father, Ernest Warren Pitts. In addition, a Celebration of Life service will be held at Ken’s current church, Huntersville United Methodist on Saturday, May 26th at 11:00 AM in Huntersville, North Carolina.
