Kenneth Lee Robinson, 69, of Morganton, NC went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 22, 2016. He was born September 30, 1947, in Mitchell County, to the late Garland and Alberta (Branch) Robinson. He was a loving husband to his wife, Sylvia (Jolley) Robinson for 49 years. He had a passion for serving his Savior through Mt. Home Baptist Church and with his friends in "Arnold Mull's Sunday School Class." He also served the community for over 45 years as Service Manager at Causby Buick.
He was an amazing Daddy, Pop, and Poppa K to his kids and grandkids and patiently taught each of them the art of fishing.
Mr. Robinson's family includes his son, Jon Robinson and wife, Kayci of Charlotte, and his daughter, Joanna (Robinson) Cunningham and her husband, Justin of Morganton. He has four apples of his eyes, Jonah Robinson, Kennedi Robinson of Charlotte, Amos Cunningham, and Paisley Cunningham of Morganton, his brother, Tom Robinson and wife, Ann of Morganton, his sister, Regina (Robinson) Alexander and her husband, Danny of Valdese; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by nephews, Matthew Alexander, Brian Howard Robinson, Big Momma, and Big Daddy, John and Cora Robinson.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon, Friday, November 25, 2016 at Mt. Home Baptist Church. The funeral will be held at 12:00 noon in the church sanctuary with Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
