Kenneth "Ken" Franklin Boone, 66, of Pace, Florida, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 after a brief illness.

Mr. Boone was a native of Alamance County, North Carolina, and had lived in the Pensacola/Pace area for the past 26 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and loved his country. He was an accounting/payroll manager with Nowak Enterprises and a retired grocery manager. He was a member of Pine Terrace Baptist Church in Milton.Ken was an avid motorcyclist and he toured the lower 48 states and Canada. He was a member of GWRRA motorcycle club.

He is preceded in death by his mother and dad – Dorothy Andrews Boone Stuart Boswell and James Dalton Boswell; his father – Robert Franklin Boone, Jr.; brother – Terry Stuart; his father-in-law and mother-in-law – Herndon and Mabel Coffey and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law – Gene and Judy Coffey.Mr. Boone is survived by his wife and best friend who he was married to for 47 years – Janice Coffey Boone; two daughters – Frankie (Christopher) Hannan of Bellevue, NE and Angela (Bradley) Stoltman of Milton, FL; five grandchildren – Corey, Bradley Jr., Jessica, Emma and Chelsea; three great grandchildren – Zoei, Connor and Addilyn; and three brothers David Stuart, Wayne (Peggy) Stuart and Steve (Donna) Stuart. He is also survived by aunts, loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and best friends and riding partners, Johnny and Becky Thomas; and his special baby and companion "Dixie".There will be a time of visitation with the family from 5 pm to 7 pm, with a Prayer Service to follow at 7 pm, on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at the Lewis Funeral Home, Pace Chapel, with Dr. Mike Wiggins officiating.The family will receive friends Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 1-2pm at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center in Morganton. The graveside service will follow at 2:30pm at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the N.C. National Guard and the Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Hospice, 6479 Caroline Street, Suite B, Milton, Florida, 32570.
