Kenneth Dale Childers, 56, of Blacksburg, SC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. He was born on May 16, 1966 in Cleveland County, NC to the late Brice Childers and Zoe Roberts Childers. He was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church. He loved his Lord and led several of his children to the Lord. He was a paramedic in Cleveland County for over thirty years. Kenneth was always willing to help others. He loved tinkering and fixing things. He loved his family dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tommy Childers and Doug Childers; sister, Margaret Childers.
He is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Janet Smith Childers; children, Matthew Childers (Sheri), Cara Childers, Darvi Childers, Dakota Childers, Garan Childers and Mace Childers; granddaughter, Madison Childers; sister, Barbara Childers; and several nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm, Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Burkemont Baptist Church. The service will begin at 2:00pm in the church with Rev. Dr. Eddy Bunton, Rev. John Barnhardt and Chaplain Janet Childers officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. There will also be a memorial service at 7:00pm, Friday September 23, 2022 at New Hope Baptist Church in Earl, NC. The family will receive one hour prior to the service.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
