Kelvin Alonzo Coleman “Floppy”, 51, of Morganton, NC entered into eternal rest on October, 02, 2019. He was born August 09, 1967 in Fredericksburg, VA. He was the son of Deacon John Melvin Farmer of Charlottesville, VA and Rosa E. Coleman White of Morganton, NC. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry & Ethel Farmer, maternal grandmother, Dorothy Coleman, brother Lamont T. Farmer, John M. Farmer Jr., nephew Seviaun Moyer; step-mother, Lila Farmer; and step-father, Zechariah White.

Kelvin attended Freedom High School and graduated in 1986. He was long time worker in both the Textile and Healthcare Industries and had a passion for driving trucks.

Kelvin loved the Lord. He loved his family and friends immensely and enjoyed spending time with them. He also loved to travel, especially to Virginia to see his family there. One of his favorite pastimes was watching sports. He loved himself some Dallas Cowboys, his favorite team. His greatest and most proud accomplishments however, the light of eyes, was his son, Landon and his wife Pam. We will miss him, his kindness, his smile, and his infectious laughter.

Left to cherish his memory; mother, Rosa E. Coleman White of Morganton; father, Deacon John Melvin Farmer of Charlottesville, VA; wife, Pamela Greene Coleman, son, Landon Coleman (and his mother, Heather LaValley) both of Morganton. Sister Gladys Gardin and husband Rick, brother John Coleman and wife Lisa, sister LaShanda Moore and husband Lennie, brother Jeremiah White, sister, Tanya White and brother Zechariah White Jr. and wife Canelya, all of Morganton, NC. Brother Lyndel Farmer and sister, Kristal Farmer of Virginia, stepson Riley Moses of Morganton. Uncle Jerry Coleman and wife Carolyn of Washington D.C., Uncle Micheal Coleman of Winston Salem, NC; two granddaughters of Morganton and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Bible Baptist Church.  The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the church with Rev. Ricky Watkins officiating.
