Keith Levi Rutherford, 56, of Hickory died Saturday, July 28, 2018. Born in Burke County, NC on September 13, 1961, he was the son of Betty Jo Tate Carter and the late James Rutherford. Keith was a kind, loving man who would do anything for anyone.
Mr. Rutherford is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Harbison Rutherford of the home; son, Casey Rutherford; step-daughter, Taunia Perkins and husband, Tyrone; 3 grandchildren; brother, Carlson Rutherford; sister, Jackie Coffey and husband, Sean; step-brothers, Mike and Neil Shade; and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts.
In addition to his father, Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory center. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in McElrath Cemetery.
