Kathy Renshaw

Kathy Renshaw, 78, of Valdese, NC, transferred her address to Heaven on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 3, 1944, she was the daughter of the late George Anderson and Margaret Mary Kelly Anderson.  Kathy was an active member of Burkemont Baptist Church and she accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at Good News Bible Club.  She sang in the Billy Graham Crusade Choir in Pittsburgh in 1968.  Kathy enjoyed playing the piano, singing in the church choir, performing cross-stitch, and sewing.  She also enjoyed traveling, including visiting 11 national parks and taking train trips from Philadelphia to Los Angeles and to San Francisco.  Along with her husband, Kathy enjoyed taking her children to Moody Bible Church’s Friday Night singing event.

Mrs. Renshaw is survived by her husband of 52 years, Brian Renshaw; sons, Scott Renshaw, Andrew Renshaw (Elizabeth), and Stephen Renshaw; grandchildren, Evan, Elena, Ezekiel, and Timothy Renshaw; sister, Nancy Welsh; and brother, Arthur Anderson (Ginger).

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Burkemont Baptist Church.  The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. in the church with Rev. Dr. Eddy Bunton and Rev. Dr. David Mills officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burkemont Baptist Church, Samaritan’s Purse, or to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
