Dec 19 1940 will always be a special date for me...June's birthday. We met in Jr High School and became friends right away. She lived close to me and once she got her drivers license we rode together to MHS. For years after graduation we went our separate ways but never lost touch... always stayed with June when I came up for the Morganton Festival. This year I will miss sending her annual birthday card on the 19th. She was such a dear person. We all will miss her....especially Jean Simmons and me. Pat Stubbs Walker h
