Judy E. Thomas, 83, of Morganton, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022 at UNC Health Blue Ridge in Morganton. She was born on January 18, 1939 in Coleville, PA to the late Kenneth Thomas, Sr. and Clella Thomas.
After graduating from Bradford High, she went to work at McKean County Federal Savings and Loan. After working in banking until 1995, Judy then went to work at Bissett Building Center and retired in 2004.
Before moving to North Carolina, she belonged to Bradford Area Women’s Club, 50+ Club and Bradford High School Alumni Association.
Judy is survived by a nephew, Jerry Thomas (Wanda) of Cleveland GA; nieces, Karen Amburgey (Kent) of New Egypt, NJ and Dawn Evanko (Michael) of Morganton, NC; great-nieces and nephews, Keith Thomas, Kelly Ambergey Gubernat, Kyle Amburgey, Tom, Mark, Sarah and Elizabeth Evanko and Frank Insalaco; several great great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry and Kenneth Thomas Jr.; nephew, Jimmy Thomas.
Services for Judy will be held privately with her family at a later date.
