Judy Blalock Warlick

Judy Blalock Warlick, 69 of Clark Loop, Morganton, NC was called home to be with Jesus on Thursday, March 22, 2012 surrounded by her family. Born in Burke County, NC on April 4, 1942, she was a daughter of the late John Walter Blalock and Claudia Ethel Kerley Blalock. Judy was a "cheerleader" for her family and always encouraged them in everything they did. She was their "Sunshine"!! She was an avid genealogy researcher and a devoted Tar Heel fan. She was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Clark Warlick; a brother, Johnny Edward Blalock; and a nephew, Tompall Morrison.Surviving are her daughters, Lisa Warlick of Morganton; Amy Warlick Cable and her husband, Gene of Morganton; and Jennifer Warlick Chrisco and her husband, Shane of Valdese; grandchildren, Shannon Warlick of Bethlehem, NC, Kara Warlick and Eric Hutchins both of Morganton, and Emily Chrisco of Valdese; a great grandson, Jacob Baker of Morganton; sisters, Glennis Blalock Clark of Morganton and Emma Blalock Morrison and her husband, Ralph of Glen Alpine; and a number of nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.The funeral will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Reverends David Mills, Eddy Bunton, and Michael Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Burkemont Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour before the service.
