Juanita Mull Chapman

Juanita Mull Chapman, 89, formerly of Burke County, NC passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at Halcyon Hospice House in Atlanta, GA. Born in Forest City, NC on September 18, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Stacy Mull and Kathleen McAfee Mull. Juanita was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was a Rosie the Riveter during WWII and was a huge George Strait fan.A loving and generous mother, grandmother, and friend, Juanita is survived by her daughters, Earlene Chapman Frost of Atlanta and Bobbie Chapman Ewing of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Scott Frost and his wife, Judith, of New York City, and their children, Georgia, Constance, and Charlotte; DeeDee Frost Childs and her husband, Randy, of Statesboro, GA and their children, Davis, Thomas, and Morgan; Stacy Gillilan of Lakeland and her children, Amanda Brooks of Glen Allen, VA and Heath Gillilan and his wife, Valerie, of Lakeland; great-great-grandchildren, Seth Brooks, Anna Brooks, and Tyler Gillilan; and a cousin, Sexton Digh of Morganton.In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Alexander Chapman.The graveside service will be held at 12:30pm, Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Forest Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Van Buchanan officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Halcyon Hospice, 5411 Northland Drive NE, Atlanta, GA 30342.
