To our gentle son who is forever in our hearts, "We will miss you forever more."

Rand hosted our game developer meetups and will be sorely missed. I’ve spent many hours with him engaged in conversation over the years and it was always interesting and I’ve learned a lot from him. My condolences to his family, we’ve never met but you should know Rand was a pillar of our community, he worked hard to keep our group going and to help it grow.

I hadn't seen Rand much the last year or so, but a few months ago we hung out all day, working on electronics projects for the first time in about 5 years. It felt good. We were making big plans for these things we were building. I thought it was the first of many sessions like that, but tragically, it was the last. Still, I am so thankful to have had that one day. I only wish I had known enough to cherish it even more. I love you, Rand. You were a true friend with a pure heart. Godspeed, my friend!
