Joseph Jaynes, 47, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, January 23, 2016. Born in Ehime Shikoku, Japan on December 26, 1968, he was the son of Presley Junior Jaynes of Drexel and Dona Wilkie of Morganton. Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his children, Anastasia Jaynes, of PA and Darian Jaynes, of MI; siblings, Pete Jaynes, Mary Cardin, both of CA and David Jaynes, of Morganton.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Friday, January 29, 2016 at McDowell Independent Presbyterian Church. The funeral will be held in the church at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Carswell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the U. S. Navy and Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
