Johnny Lee Carpenter

Johnny Lee Carpenter, 73, of Rutherford College passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019 after years of declining health.  Born in Anson County, NC on September 1, 1945, he was the son of the late Raymond Kemp Carpenter and Rosa Wright Carpenter.  Johnny attended the NC School for the Deaf and was of the Baptist faith.  He dearly loved his family and his dogs.

Mr. Carpenter is survived by his sister, Lucille Carpenter Humphries; brother, Gerald Carpenter and wife, Nell; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m., Tuesday, March, 5, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Carpenter officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
