Johnny Broome, 57, of Morganton, NC, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023.
Born in McDowell County, NC on January 21, 1966, he was the son of the late Clyde William Broome and Linda Ellis Broome. Johnny was an over the road truck driver and loved to ride his Harley and work on automobiles. He was very smart with electronics and loved his step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Johnny is survived by his wife, Kathryn Broome; brother, Mark Barnett; sisters, Becky Franklin and Betty Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Wayne Broome; and grandparents, Melvin and Belle Ellis.
The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at El Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Revs. John Callaway and Justin Cunningham officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
