John Silver, 61, of Morganton, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Born in McDowell County, NC on September 25, 1964, he was the son of the late Charles Silver and Gladys Elliot Silver.
John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who dearly loved his grandchildren. He worked for the City of Morganton for many years until he became disabled. John was a country man who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and living life to the fullest. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and football.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda Evans Silver; daughters, Andrea Silver Jackson (John) and Maranda Silver Hudson (Adam); grandchildren, Jonothon Jackson, Darren Jackson, Garrett Curtis, and Braxton Hudson; and a brother, Calvin Loftis.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his first wife, Marlene St. John Silver; daughter, Amanda Silver; brother, A.C. Loftis; and sister, Yvonda Gragg.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2025 at Sossoman Funeral Home.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
