John L. Dempsey, 53, of South Park Drive, Morganton, NC died Monday, February 15, 2010 at his residence. Born in Nassau Co, NY on March 26, 1956, he was the son of Roberta Brown Rannazzisi, with whom he made his home. John worked for many years at Bodin Apparel Mfg. in Miami, FL.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his dear friend and neighbor, Penny Helton.John was preceded in death by his step-father, Stephen J. Rannazzisi.No services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
