John Eugene Clarke, 69, of Morganton, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022. Born in Caldwell County, NC on February 14, 1953, he was the son of the late John Matthew Clark and Della Kate Coffey Clark. John attended Morganton Seventh Day Adventist Church. He loved to fish and hunt and was a wonderful husband and father who always put his family first.
John is survived by his wife, Debbie Clarke; children, Melissa Clarke Henderson (Shane) and John Clarke (Sonya); grandchildren, Nathan Henderson, Kaitlyn Henderson, Allison Clarke, Addison Clarke, and Abbigail Clarke; great-grandchildren, Phebee and Macy-Kait; and sisters, Barbara Greene (David) and Bonnie Coleman (Ronald).
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by three brothers, Monroe, Max, and Mason Clark.
Services for John will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
