John "Eddie" Brown

John "Eddie" Brown, 51, of Morganton, NC died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his residence. Born in Bradford County, FL on March 1, 1962, he was the son of Shirley Clay Rupard Brown of Morganton and the late Lonnie Phillip Brown, Jr. Eddie was a member of the Great American Cowboy Church.A loving husband, Eddie is survived by his wife, Sandra Whisenant Brown of the home; a brother, Phillip Carter Brown and his wife, Janice, of Casar, NC; a niece, Nicole Brown; a God-daughter, Bethany Houston; and his father and mother-in-law, Pete and Sadie Whisenant of Morganton.The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Goforth officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
