Joe Eugene Bentley, 70 of Morganton, NC died Friday, July 1, 2016. He was born in Burke County, NC on August 4, 1945 and was the son of the late Rural F. Bentley and Ada Jonas Bentley. Joe was a veteran of the US Marines.
Joe is survived by his wife, Patsy Ann Hyman Bentley and a nephew, Stephen Dwayne Thomas and wife, Christy of Lexington, NC.
A private crypt side service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Columbarium, P.O. Drawer 459, Morganton, NC 28680.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
